Agree with you about the 20 man and 7 Dman roster. But IMO Lafferty should be replaced by Robertson or Holmberg.

I would agree on skill but there will 100% be injuries and NR/PH are waiver exempt. So you can lose no one by getting compliant this way. Plus I imagine they'd rather Robertson play big minor league minutes than do fourth line spot duty in the NHL.

Yep, I can why the two youngsters could be sent down due to waivers, but just looking on who's better, I don't why Lafferty is even in the discussion. With 11 forwards, including Reaves, the other forwards could see good minutes.

Why Lafferty is a solid penalty killer and last year lead the league in SHG. He can play C, LW, RW and is a fast skater whose good in the faceoff dot. Makes no sense to move on from him

Robertson and Holmberg have looked good but its not wise to waste their waiver exemptness.

In general not great idea to go 11-7 as it can cause confusion amongst the forwards. There's a reason no team does it a whole year no matter how many good Dman they got.

Got a feeling we could see a Timmins trade or some cap moves that can allow us to keep Timmins without moving on from Jarnkrok or Lafferty as there are ways. Lets see. but losing him to waivers shouldnt make anyone lose sleep lul

I understand that his 1.35 seems a bit steep (my issue is more the length), but even on league min deal it would be lamented -- but if he wasn't signed, TOR wouldn't be tough enough. There's no winning.

Not Tre's best signing for sure -- but may not be his worst. If Klingberg doesn't absolutely roll offensively, it's a very poorly spent 4.15million.

they dont need reaves 4 mins a night to be "tough enough"
