If Levi is for real this team could be scary. I guess the blue line is still a bit of a question but if Clifton and Johnson are just adequate they should be good enough back there.

Ottawa and Buffalo were both 4-9-1 in the month of November. That lack of consistency comes from having a young team. If both those teams have a better November they’ll make the playoffs

I think they're pretty similar teams, they're both going to score a lot of goals it's just who avoids the big injuries and holds up best from the blue line back.

Goalies take a while to develop. Levi is unlikely the be an exception to this rule. Trying to make him a starter too early will hurt more than it helps.

Without any upgrades in net I fully expect this team to miss the playoffs

Their offense from last year might cool down and they didn't improve the D to a level I would've expected. I see them finishing with around 89 points ngl.

If Levi gives them .905 should be a playoff team. They had .890 goaltending last year

No one is “trying” to make Levi anything
He’ll get some games, and I’d he plays well then he’ll get more
If he struggles, he goes to the AHL & then we could look to acquire a goalie (if Comrie & UPL aren’t playing well also)

Not worried either way, we’ll be just fine

We are 2-3 years away from Buffalo & Ottawa battling it out for 1st/2nd in the division for about a decade or so
It’ll be fun to start hating u guys again, lol

Agreed might be even 2 years away. There’s def a chance they both finish 2-3 this year with the injuries Tampa, Florida have and the centre depth of the Bruins

I'm not saying they won't be competitive. I am saying I would choose at least 4 teams in the Pacific to finish ahead of them this year. Personally I'm taking 5 though as I think Ottawa is better.

Idk wtf you’re even talking about right now??
RE-READ my comment
It had nothing to do with how competitive the Sabres will or won’t be
It was only about your SPECIFIC comment about “trying to make Levi the starter”

But to the point u just made….
What do Pacific teams finishing ahead of Buffalo have to do with anything???
We aren’t in that Conference, let alone that division

When I said trying to make him a starter to early I meant rushing him. He's 21, IMO he's not at all ready for the NHL. If the Sabres plan is to split the net 3-ways then sure. Regardless I think Levi needs more development time.

Pacific was a typo, I meant Atlantic. Considering I talked about Ottawa I think you could have figured that out. I see Toronto, Boston, Florida, and Tampa all finishing above Buffalo

Your opinion as far as Levi goes means nothing
You’re basing it fully on his age & nothing else

Obviously Sabres Mgmt knows a lot more,
and I’m personally fine with letting the situation play out
Like i said, *IF* he struggles, then we can always look at bringing in another goalie

As far as the playoffs go, we’ll see
If we miss it’s not the end of the world- we’ll be there really soon, and for many years to come
Building a powerhouse over here

Oh I fully expect them to contend in the near future, but not this year. I am not bashing the Sabres I just view them as the 20/21 Devils. Offense is there but preventing the puck from going in is not

Again, i was originally just commenting to correct your post about Levi

Time will tell if the additions made are enough on the backend & if our young goalies hold up
But AGAIN,
you’ve offered ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to back up your opinion on Levi- except his age
U might be right, but that extremely weak reasoning on your part

I think experience and development is more than enough of a reason.

Plenty of young players- even goalies- are good at a young age

This is not about age. He lacks experience so I don't think he can successfully bring Buffalo into contention and I don't trust Comrie to do so either. Levi played in the NCAA the last 2 years where a season is about 40 games. Thats half an NHL season, the work load is completely different and takes tim to transition.
