I’m ignoring the absurd trade that would never happen. I’d like to see Puustinen crack the lineup for opening night. He’s looked great so far.

Absurd is being kind.

1) Thompson is on waivers and can be had for free
2) The Sens will have to ADD a sweetener to move Joseph
3) I know two years ago Forsberg had a fantastic year, but by and large he's a decent back up and arguably a lateral move from Nedeljovic. Nedjelkvovic's two best years are way better than his one best year, and he's half the price for Forsberg.

This is just a weird trade.

- Forget Formenton, it's like he doesn't exist for obvious reasons, 2nd year in a row he is not signed on a RFA contract...

- Forsberg is not being traded, Korpisalo signed in Ottawa to play with him

- Lassi Thomson is now on waivers

Sens probably want to keep Joseph at this point and he doesn't have 2nd round pick value. Gruden just cleared waivers and Ottawa doesn't want Nedeljkovic
