Description

1. Elmer, Simon and Danielson make the team, they're studs. Danielson is a legit 2way C, Elmer is Elmer, and Simon is showing some good sand and skill. Too many penalties but love him otherwise.
2. Fabbri injured again, Chiarot out for family reasons
3. Berggren sent down, he's looked ok, just not as good as Elmer or Nate and he doesn't need waivers.
4. Veleno starts as healthy scratch or traded
5. Kasper 1st F call-up. (looks good and scrappy, I'd hug-fight Mantha too, he's 50 lbs bigger, at least he went toe to toe)
6. 23rd roster spot can be Fabbri if he's not long term injured, Chiarot back, or Berggren off the bench.
7. The new 2nd line looks really good. I worry about the size of the 1st line but maybe they can outrun/outpass everyone
8. Lyon is better than Reimer, is younger, is signed for 2 cheap years, and will probably get claimed by TB if waived so I keep him.

People are going have to 15 years prove/disprove your theory. There was a reaction among "experts" that he was a big reach at # 9 last season.

Dude was a stud. Granted, in pre-season, however he's a 19 y/o tearing up games against at least AHL-level guys. Ill admit I wanted Benson or Dvorsky more at the draft, but I'm far more happy with the pick now than I was at the time.
