Yes of course they could send Holmberg down, but they also can't maintain a 20 man roster.

Holmberg doesn’t need waivers to go down, doesn’t get claimed.

Easiest way would likely be by trading Jarnkrok, and hoping Nick Robertson can score the goals Jarnkrok would have.

The little green arrow beside his name indicates Holmberg is waiver free. As are Robertson & Knies

As the other 2 have stated - Holmberg, Knies and Robertson do not have to go through waivers to go to the AHL.

So 20 man and they are compliant. BUT I also assume Gregor gets a contract here. So in that case, they sign him, but then Robertson needs to get sent down. Don't love that. Injuries will probably dictate what happens.

I assume it's what you have here but Robertson and Holmberg down and Gregor signed. The moment someone else gets hurt, Robertson is back up.

My thinking is that they'll be going with a 20-man to start and leaning on "emergency" recalls for a little bit.
