Pens would have to take Jack campbell for this trade to work for Edmonton

Kings aren't trading 2yrs of Kempe at 5.5 for Guentzel who will need to be resigned and probably gonna ask for 8-9m. Keep dreaming.

Yeah, Kempe would excel a lot of places, but LA doesn't even consider that.

If you sign Thornton, you might as well sign Marleau too, why not right?

Jarry's not an elite goaltender but he's certainly better than MAF.

There's no way you just said Pettersson has been holding the team back lol. I mean c'mon man. Maybe you don't follow the Pens so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt -but that's just wildly inaccurate. Kempe's a great player, but that trades not an upgrade. That Kane contract is absolutely insane

Fair enough - some things are just factual information though, i.e. Pettersson. And the Kane salary. And more

mb, I forget to mention about Kane in my response. what would you say a good contract offer would be on a one year deal? do you feel as if I overpaid or underpaid? that one I was unsure about but on a one year deal I feel as if it would work on both sides based on his age and ability to still perform

No - you're good lol. Idk - maybe like 2mil. 3 max. He's a shell of his former self - and gonna be 35 years old coming off hip surgery and missing months of the season. Overpaid - by a lot imo. I would've been fine if the Pens signed him for like 2-3mil if they had the cap space. Any more and I don't think it's worth it - especially if youre severely downgrading your defense to pay him
