nyr needs a backup as quick has been garbage and they have no one else really....Leafs need to upgrade there LD and can use RD depth as Timmins can take over Lilj spot as he needs a new contract anyways

New York have:

Fox + Trouba + Schneider on the right

They have:

Lindgren + Miller + Gustaffson on the left

Their right side is set and is very good. Their left side is good but could use 1 upgrade if they want to go for the cup.

They will not be trading away their best defensive LD for a RD.

Lafferty is also not a cap dump. Just waive him in that case and if he gets claimed its free. If he doesn't get claimed... it's free and we keep the depth.

The Maple Leafs don't have the pieces to get Fox period. Let alone half retained. Not that he'd waive for a franchise that hasn't made a Cup Final since probably around when his parents were born of course

Thank you for explaining it! Was a nice surprise when I was expecting to see Jared from London saying lilj is 10x the Dman lindy is, etc.
