Add a 3rd for retention. Calgary isn't helping you out.

His cousin is here so I don’t think so. With how he played when here last year it’s more likely that Jarnkrok is on Calgary’s no trade for list.

That doesn’t make any sense when they can hold onto him till next year and then retain on him and sell him for a second

Seattle already has more capable NHL forwards than they have spots. While Järnkrok is still a decent middle/bottom six winger, he's not really an upgrade on what the Kraken currently have, and they don't have the roster/cap space or need to bring him back. I'm sure the Leafs could get a third rounder or close to it in return for Järnkrok should they trade him, but they aren't getting it from Seattle.

No logic in waiving Giordano. Gee, if someone claims him and he "retires", he still isn't a Leaf.
All this Jarnkrok nonsense. Even if a team is on Jarnkrok's eligible list, good chance these teams have no cap either.

The easiest thing to do would be to send him to Calgary with a first to get tanev he’s played there before maybe he liked something about there

The half retained part is what gets him the first

But other teams have cap issues too. It just isn' that easy. What likely happens someone mid to high priced cap player will have be on LTIR which helps the cap..but admitting makes the team worse
Leafs TDL have been awful....just a waste of prospects, as it happens with most TDL moves.
