Not a chance. NJ wants nothing to do with that Hellebuyck contract and that's way too much to give up.

Hameenaho won't be NHL ready next year and Thompson is a bust

They just extended him to 7-year extension…so they aren’t going to trade him now (and especially aren’t going to retain for 7 years).

He’s been mid for years, he can’t skate, has an average nhl shot, he’s never in the right places, and has average to below average AHL production.. at best he’s a 4th liner, at worst he’s a half decent career AHLer. Realistically Hes got a year of development left before he essentially plateaus but he’s never going to be a top 6 piece and every other piece of the roster is interchangeable

He can skate well enough, though it's not great, and his shot is pretty good. The Devils' front office is very high on him, but if he has a bad year he probably doesn't stick around. He doesn't need to be a top 6 piece, just an above average bottom 6 piece.

Oh I think you've made a mistake, in a year the Jets will be adding a 1st and Holtz level prospect+ to dump Hellebuyck and his gawd AWFUL contract.
