Florida is thin on the blue line. Pionk reunited with Pomo

CBJ has glut of RHD and one has to go.

NYI has an awful season and misses the playoffs, allows Dobson to take over as #1 RHD and they get an up and coming LHD in Heinola who looked amazing in the Pre Season and was going to make the team but unfortunately broke his leg in the last game of Pre Season.

Montreal get a serviceable D man who unfortunately makes too much money. Jet give them their 2nd pick back along with Zhilkin who is a good young prospect and will eat a portion of the contracts last year.

Winnipeg's D looks much better and their forward group allows them to integrate 2 of their young players in Lambert and Lucious

    Columbus has a glut of defense, period. Stanley isn't an upgrade on Bean, and he blocks Mateychuk next year. Pass.

    I don't see Habs taking Schmidt contract, for this and next season without something more interesting. It would also take a spot from one of our young dman coming in, and I would much rather see them play compared to a cap dump.

    Pulock won't waive, better off keeping Schmidt then paying good assets to dump him.
