Oilers would have probably the 2 worst defensemen contracts in the league

Chicago accepts but the oilers don't unless Nurse is going the other way. Even then the oilers still probably think Nurse is good.

Lol, the Oilers certainly don't do this. However, I would argue that 12 goals, 43 points and a +26 is actually not so bad (Nurse)... it just sucks he has that monster cap hit. If he was a $7.5m guy, maybe $8m, he'd be perfect.

Nurse is an adequate second pairing defenseman who gets paid and played as if he was a first pairing player. oil fans think he's a tough guy but really he just bullies much smaller players and throws some cheap shots. He won't fight anyone his own size or even go after anyone who might actually fight back. He's poor defensively and his offense isn't all that good either considering pretty much any half decent top 4 defenseman would get at least as many points if they played top pair minutes on a team with McDavid Draisaitl and the oilers offense.
