I'd like to see Byram-Manson & G-JJ. Byram-G pairing doesnt seem to have much chemistry

I think on offense, don't mess with what's working. Scored a bunch against a good Kings team, then got 52 shots off against SJ but the goalie just stood on his head. That's going to happen sometimes. On D, I agree but for another reason. I want at least one smooth skater on each pair. Worried about Manson/JJ getting caught flatfooted (if they're together).

Cogs won't be a scratch. Drouin isn't a C. I do think not having Manson and JJ paired together would be a good idea.

The thing you can count on in the forward corp is the bottom 6 is basically set with Wood Colton Tatar on the 3rd line and Cogs Olof and LOC on the 4th. You can mix and match the top 6 however you want though I would like to see RyJo and Rantanen get some even strength ice time together. On defense I’d like to see a little early season experimenting and put Byram with Makar and Toews with Girard, but that’s just me.

After last night's game we already saw plenty of Bednar's Blendar. Drouin saw his ice time cut and his 1st line spot was given to others at times. We could see Colton or Tatar promoted to the top six.

Olofsson is struggling to win faceoffs & play defense. Peter Holland has 3pts in 2GP in Loveland, so Olofsson needs to step it up or be leapfrogged.

Yeah... Olafsson isn't running with this opportunity and Cogs has even had to take some draws. I'd like to see Tufte, Holland or maybe even Pavel, who would keep the PK strong.
