Seriously WHAT is this trade for Colorado?! Laughably bad

Firstly there's zero chance Colorado will retain on a contract for 3 years, not least $2.25m ($7.75m). They'd sooner pay someone a 1st to take that full contract than retain themselves.

Eller and Ruhwedel don't do anything for the Avs either. They already have their center depth sorted so Eller is of no interest.

Drouin is a bit meh but he has upside and is super cheap.

COL already did the Eller trade once they aren’t going to double down and then some on a guy they let walk. Ridiculous trade.

That Colorado trade is a heck of a pipe dream. Why would they want Eller back when we just signed him from them?
