For the sharks to use their last retention spot it would have to be to get a higher pick like a 2nd or 1st. This seems like a waste of that retention.

Note: not a 2nd or 1st for Labanc but maybe for Duclair or Barabanov.

No interest in that from the Sharks. I'd rather ride out Labancs contract than to use that retention slot for literally nothing of value. If we're offloading our middle six forwards it wouldn't make sense to bring even more in that have MORE term. We gotta hand off the reigns to the young guys at some point

Moving Pageau would significantly weaken the bottom six, while helping a division rival improve in an area of need. Rackell is the better player, but I can’t see the isles trading Pageau straight up for Rackell tbh.

What are you on about, man? Tucker is not ready to fill that role. Frankly, if Bortz (and Perunovich, for that matter) don't play today, I'm gonna be annoyed.

Same but it’s the fact bortz isn’t playing, I’d rather trade him then have him sit half the season

It's a long season, man. Besides, he SHOULD be playing now. Scandella and Tucker ain't gettin' the job done.

Yes I agree but he’s not playing for one and we also have Rosen in the ahl

If they aren’t gonna play him at this point trade him

Dude, what are you talking about? None of our Dmen can do what Bortz does, and certainly not Rosen, who isn't even an RD. We're five games in, and he is needed in the line-up right now. So if we don't use him for the first five games of a particular season, then trade him for peanuts? What???

What are you on about? I’m simply saying that if the blues won’t play him I’d rather them trade him then him just sit all ****ing year. Like how can you not grasp such a basic concept.
That’s it. I’m not saying he’s better or worse or more needed or less needed. Just that if the blues won’t play him, they should just trade him.

Except you didn't say all season. You said now - "at this point".
