I miss Z, such a fun player. Frustrating as hell though. He’ll have one shift where he looks like the best defenseman in the world and then the next 5 are train wrecks.

I certainly don't watch every Calgary game, but from what I've seen it seems like he's found a lot more consistency. But even so, I don't think he'd be a trade target, as there is still a pretty sizeable doghouse with his name on it in Denver.

Z as a Manson replacement next season would be fine by me, but Z is due for a payday, it would be net neutral probably.

I think it would be a pure rental. Would be really fun to take a run at the Cup with Z though. And that gives the Avs three really good pairings imo.

JJ has been pretty good, but I worry about his ability to keep that up all year.

I love Z. I'd be Vince McMahon in a chair.

Have to admit I was half expecting some form of Kadri deal so was pleasantly surprised and like most posts on here so far I'd agree, wouldn't be mad about that deal at all for a cup run. I've no idea how much he's played RD with Calgary though but I remember him as definitely better on his strong side so I'd swap him and Byram over (as a minor nitpick).

I hate Byram on the right but would be very willing to put Girard there. I know Zadorov did it a decent amount while in Colorado, so I went with it.

I'm on board. Byram is way more comfortable on the left. JJ has been fine, but would be better throughout the season on limited time.
