I think the Leafs have enough offensive D. Don’t want Bouchard unless we move Klingberg. I like the Oleksiak trade though. He’d look good in a Leafs jersey

Domi is a better fit for your forward group. He is a playmaker to complement the goalscoring you have. He can play C or LW/RW.

Team has been called out a few times this year for being soft, McCabe solves that.

Timmins replaces Bouchard. If he can stay healthy he likely puts up a 65+ point pace. He had 6 points in 3 preseason games and was on a 50 point pace with no PP time playing 3rd pair last year.

Plus the deal clears some cap for you (equal but you get an extra roster player) and a 2nd.

Let's say that spare player now is Broberg. You have about $1M in free cap + Broberg and this 2nd to upgrade someone else like Kulak, Kane, etc.

So it's a table setting in that it plugs a bunch of holes and gives you assets to make a big move.

In what way doe this benefit Toronto?

Domi>>>>>McLeod
McCabe is better defensively than Bouchard AND the Leafs pay a 1st and Timmins

This trade is lopsided on EDM's end

Nobody is calling a team with Kane, Ekholm, Draisitil and McDavid soft. Either your listening to idiots or your projecting your insecurities about the Leafs.

I laughed when you said Timmins and 65 points in the same sentence

Edmonton laughs this trade out of the room

This trade is horrifically bad. Mccabe sucks. We saw how exposed he got in the playoffs as one of Toronto's worst defenders, and he hasn't been all that good this year either. Timmins is waiver fodder and to suggest he might score 65 points is ridiculous. Domi isn't anything special as he's bounced from team to team and can never seem to stick.

Any trade involving Bouchard, who has been spectacular and generating a decent p/60 even without Mcdavid or Drai on the ice involves them blocking your number.

You want the facts? Delete your CF account if these are the trades you're making. If you actually were an "NHL executive", there might be a reason there's the word "former" in that sentence.
