Bryson's cap hit is pretty much what you're retaining on Schmidt, there's a basis for a trade here but this isn't it.

Idk about the Lindholm trade either.

Weak offer for Lindholm

A 1st and two NHL ready players on entry level deals is weak?

You’re forgetting about the extra year of Schmidt we’d be getting out of. And what’s not to like about Schiefele, Lindholm, Lowry, and Namestnikov down the middle once Vilardi is back?

Overvaluing your prospects much? Torgersson is hardly anywhere close to NHL ready. I'm hesitant to say he will ever be. Heinola still has decent potential but he can't even crack the Jets d-core. Again failing to see the "NHL ready" part

Heinola is hurt and hasn't lived up anywhere near his first round status yet. The first round pick and Heinola are a start but this offer doesn't get a deal done.

We have a very good d core, which is why he isn’t cracking it. He has already proven he’s NHL ready but we don’t have a spot for him.

"Very good" is definitely an exaggeration, Winnipeg is pretty middle of the pack. Heinola would almost certainly be below Poirier and the Flames LD prospect pool. Still doesn't change the fact that Torgersson is essentially worthless

On our left side we have Morrissey, Dillon, and Samberg. That means it’s tough to get into the lineup. Heinola had a very good season as an offensive defenceman in the AHL. He needs a chance to play. If you would want a different prospect added in place of Torgersson I understand that but this isn’t that far off a fair offer.

Again I think you greatly overvalue your prospects. Lindholm will cost more than what the Islanders paid for Horvat, Heinola's trade value is probably on par with what Raty's was at the time so you are still missing Beauvillier's trade value entirely, and that's not even taking into account that the Islanders pick was 12th at the time of the trade. Vilardi is the closest thing you have to Beauvillier.

I’d be willing to toss in a better prospect but subtracting from our roster defeats the purpose of the trade.

If Calgary is trading Lindholm then they would want prospects anyways. Replace Torgersson with Lucius, Chibrikov, or Lambert and we can talk
