I would be surprised if Vancouver took that but obviously would do it in a heartbeat from Isles POV

$5.6m in cap space to extend Hanifin. Even if you move JGP or palmieri, you’d be making the offense weaker

Canucks decline. They won’t retain that much on Garland.

Canucks would be better off trying to trade Beau and Myers with full retention than dumping Garland with partial retention imo. CBJ has two righty d man with depreciating value sitting in the press box rn…. Maybe there’s a deal to be made there. Dvorak could also be of interest to the Canucks in a trade involving Beau.

You're right except Garland has asked for a trade.

Boeser retracted his request. Reunite him with Dvorak and I bet Garland does the same.

Correction, the Canucks have been trying to move Garland for a while now, but he never came out and asked for a trade. They gave him permission to talk to other teams, so it seems they are kind of forcing his hand.

What are you talking about? Forcing his hand? You’re not making any sense

Garland has never explicitly stated he WANTS to be traded. The Canucks have just been trying to trade him for a while, and have given him permission to talk to other teams. They will force him out.

Reading comprehension isn't hard

Apparently, he changed agents and didn’t deny that he asked for a trade.

What the Canucks should do and what they will do are two separate matters
