Would hurt to move Holloway but definitely a necessary move for success in the Mcdavid era

Yea I think EDM should try to keep him but it seems inevitable he gets moved. Just not a good fit right now and he is one of their most valuable assets that could be moved

Trade 1: Habs decline. Zero need or desire for Beauvillier,
Trade 2: Easy no. Value is nowhere near what Monahan brings. At that value, Habs resign him.
Trade 3: Campbell's contract is incredibly toxic and he's not even playing 'ok'. Habs pass.
Trade 4 and 5: Obviously, low-balling the Habs, because...

...because obviously you're far from being a Habs fan.

Cheers buddy!

If the Habs fan (you) is telling me the trades are all way off and hurt the Habs, I know I did well!

Cheers, bud!

At least you're showing accurate and healthy meta cognition.

For the EDM trade, I'd only consider it if there was little to no protection on the 1st... That Campbell contract is a disaster. If the Oilers want protection on the pick, I'd want a salary dump going back like Armia, and would retain on Allen to make the cap work.

Wouldn't make the first trade, Harris > rental meh and a 3rd in 2 more seasons.

Gonna think Hughes will stick to a hardline for a 1st minimum for Monahan at this rate, could change though if he slows down/gets injured.

Don't mind that EDM trade, Campbell sucks and so does his contract but bury or buyout would be fine.

The last two don't add any value to MTL though, the retention slot alone would be better used elsewhere imo. Pretty sure we received a 5th for ~1 mil retention last TDL as third party, here we're sending the player as well not as third party. If he's healthy at the tdl I would expect slightly more than a 5th for Pearson retained. It would be more valuable to attach the retention to Monahan for less money than it would be for Pearson. Taking a worse/larger/cap dump contract back in a Pearson deal + sweetener(s) makes more sense.

Evans should remain our 4C until he retires barring an overpay imo, selling him for an insulting 5th would be a poor decision.
