Honetly, that's a pretty great trade proposal, as a neutral observer.

Obviously, most fans won't like it. That's how it is on here. But it's original, and the value is pretty good for both teams.

Well done

Value might be right or might not but Nugent-Hopkins is an Alberta boy and has an absolute NMC. I think that vastly reduces the chance of this making sense.

What do the Oilers need?
Goaltending and defense.
What do they have tons of? Offense.

You gotta give some to get some buddy. You seem to always focus on only one side.

You have to GIVE value to GET value.

Thanks. Also as a neutral, I think Its a rare scenario where both teams could deal from a position of depth to address their roster hole.

I agree. Value is right, but I also believe The Nuge will not waive his NMC.
He did take a hometown team discount it seems... his contract is great for the team.

That being said, I like the value of the proposal

Yeah 100 point player on a legendary contract has more value then a great goalie maybe add Campbell on here and they consider it

The best goalie in the NHL last year.
Vezina winner.

Again, what is the weakest position in Edmonton?
And again, do you need to give VALUE to get VALUE?
If you want to get the BEST goaltender in the NHL last year, what would you offer?
Try to make the Bruins GM *agree* and in total fairness. Can you TRY to make a fair value trade for both teams once? Without having your emotionas as fan interfere ?

Zach Hyman also works to a degree, but I question whether I would lose the strength to gain him.

Fair value.

Trade protection of both would be problematic.

Boston better without it.

So while value is fair. Not likely.

Bruins a very competitive team in a strong hockey market ... he might be enticed to waive his clause for a team with a chance to go far ...not saying he would, but Boston could make a compelling case...

Absolutely. Edmonton has a horrendous season... Boston is at the other end of the spectrum. And Boston is a GREAT city to live in.
Good point
