Honestly the pieces rangers would need to Center the trade around wouldn’t be worth it for them

In such a scenario, the Oilers certainly lose leverage, but the Rangers certainly wouldn't be the only team in the bidding and that kind of offer in insultingly bad. The only value you've offered is Zibby (not waiving), Kakko (waning value), Perreault, Berard, and the picks- and the dumping of Goodrow occupies a good chunk of the value of said picks. The main problem is you fail to address any key problems for an EDM team trading away the world's best player.

No matter the leverage, you're not pulling off a trade for McDavid or Draisaitl without including Laf & Schneider and you're certainly won't have exclusive negotiating rights with EDM.

As a Ranger fan I don't want McJesus or Draisaitl anywhere near the team. We're doing fine as is. I would rather ship out Zibanejad for a high end prospect or something

Gabe is worth more than the 1st. While public opinion on Kakko value is low the real hockey organizations will have a much higher value for him. After that, sure they are not overly appealing pieces.

Ken Holland laugh at this offer, only Zibanejad and Kakko have any value. The rest is pure garbage for a generational player.

Right… people said Lundkvist wasn’t worth a 1st and then he got a 1st and 3rd… again.. fans(you and I) are usually wrong about value.. he’s an NHL player on any team.

Late picks in a weak draft, Don't have much value. At least weak draft compared to last year.
