It's clear that Edmonton isn't winning the cup with this group, whereas Buffalo has a very bright future with Dahlin and Power anchoring that defense for the next decade. This is a rebuild trade for Edmonton, and they can do it quickly using McDavid and Draisaitl as trade chips. Massive overhaul can give them a pretty good shot at winning the cup in 5-6 years.
