Patrick Kane is looking at a cup contender, not a cup pretender he isn't signing with Buffalo.

Nah he's looking for security/pay day. Already multiple local reporters hinting at the deal.

He'd be dumb to sign with Buffalo, because every time he goes home he just gets himself in trouble.

He gets himself in plenty trouble elsewhere too. Thats the issue with troublesome people. It's not the geography that's the problem, it's them.

Buffalo isn't winning with him or without him, They're still at least 2-3 years away from competing for a cup. And if he's looking for a big payday. Detroit can give that to him and he can play with his buddy Cat.

But the bolded part isn’t necessarily true

Sabres have made Kane an offer- and he did NOT say “no”
But he is waiting till he’s about ready to come back to evaluate all his options & choose
He also wants a multi-year deal
