Description
Talking to a friend who works the beat for the Oilers. Said Holland was pushing HARD to move Brown and Bouchard. Best offer he got from Bouchard was Anderson-Dolan + 2nd from LA which is why they made clear they wouldn't just make a panic move.

He mentioned prices are low on D. Loads of them on the market and very few contenders need a top 4 D. Said to expect really low returns for guys like Tanev, Zadorov (also why CGY said they are waiting to do it on their terms). Given all this I'm going to go off the values he's sharing with me and not the hyped up values we normally use here.

Your friend is making stuff up because LA has absolutely no use for Bouchard. They're already overflowing at RHD as it is. He's a solid player, but he's not going to take a spot away from Doughty or Clarke, and isn't good enough defensively to make Matt Roy expendable.

Trev is looking for nasty clear the net, crush bodies type d-man. Bouchard stats don't look like that kind of guy but haven't seen him play.

Would love Bouch on my team but he's not really the type of dman the leafs need right now. Leafs need a physical defensive RHD. That being said - he would be an ideal Klingberg replacement
