That first has tanevs name written all over it and I don’t think it’s a good idea to mess with the forwards but I’m very interested in Boone for sure

This would be what I would do if I were the next GM. This would be the first year of a complete over hall. Moving Jenner would show that it’s a new team and it needs to bring in new leadership

A 1st round pick and back up goalie for a UFA goalie on a team who will be cap strapped team needing to resign swayman? Goalies rarely get huge returns especially 30 year old goalies.

I get it, but he's also our leading goal scorer, a fan favorite, and signed to a very team-friendly deal. Unless someone wants to be throwing around an overpayment, I'm not moving him.

So much of where this team is is just youth development. Fantilli, Voronkov, Marchenko, Johnson, Jiricek, et al. need time. Johnny has really been the only out-and-out dissapointment for me this year (Laine slightly, but he he got off to a ****ed start to the season). Which is something even he acknowledged.

I look back to Bednar's first year with COL. Roy dumped on the team a few weeks before the start of camp, COL had a HISTORICALLY bad year, and then the ascension started, slowly but surely.

It's not a 1-to-1 comparison, but It's tough to get past the debacle of an off-season CBJ had, and Vincent is coaching on the fly with a system he would have had all summer to develop and implement. Whether GMJK is here or not next year, you can't really rebuild this team - most of its core is already young, and in terms of truly tradeable pieces, its Jenner and...?

The Leafs will need to use that cap space for a dman. BUT it would be very hard to turn down Jenner straight up for a 1st. He is a guy I have wanted for a long time!

it'd kinda depend on how the rest of the season goes for the Sens, but there's definitely a world where this makes a lot of sense for them

Sens can't trade Forsberg this year because of Korpisalo's signing, you can't piss off a guy you just signed 5 years

Reigning Vezina winner, and currently still Top 5 goalie in the league for a 20+ pick and a goalie coming off double ACL/MCL surgery lol. What are YOU smoking? After this year the Bruins aren't going to be cap strapped with all the bonuses coming off the books and the cap increase. Even if they were tight for cap next year they would move on from either Gryz, Forbort or maybe Carlo and let Lohrei step in for them. They have the best tandem in the league who enjoy playing together and for the bruins. I'm sure Swayman takes around 5x5m and solidify the goaltending for the team for the future. $10m for those two elite goaltenders Bruins would be happy with, considering some teams are paying one goalie that price.
