Brodie and Tanev are very comparable. The difference between them is not a 1st round pick. We will be ADDING a guy like Tanev to our group. Not swapping him and Brodie.

Werenski has a full no move clause. So I won't even bother commenting on this trade outside of that.

David Kampf is not a cap dump and is a very useful player for the Leafs.

Boy do I have bad news about Werenski for you.

He's still good. The whole team is just a mess right now. If he's available teams should be interested.

1st round pick + Easton Cowan (1st round pick this past year) + Minten (early 2nd round pick from 2 years ago) + McCabe (Good + Physical bottom pair D, signed to a good cap hit for several years).

Cowan and Minten have both raised in value since being drafted as well (not because they are Leaf prospects but because they are doing very well).

None of that is junk.

Not junk but quantity over quality

That's not what I mean. He's come back from his injury with signficant rust. He's tentative and slow. He doesn't look like the player I've watched for seven years. It's not the team around him. It's him. Also, he's a dreadful PPQB. He's a fine defenseman but he is very much not worth 9.58 million dollars right now.

Useful to leafs. worthless along with a bunch of junk picks and cap dump Reeves to the sharks
