They need to take the best offer. If it's VAN, that's fine.

He's not the type of player that will haunt the Flames for years to come. His next contract will not be a good one. If that's with VAN, good, if you're the Flames.

Van shouldn't be giving up a 2nd unless it's part of a bigger need on a younger RHD. Big Z is solid but he's not much more than that. No need to get caught up in the hype of a player who wants out when he'd be bottom pair.
