Ok was wondering cuz this trade appeared very lopsided for the jackets. Figured it was just a mistake in evaluation of peeke or ratys value.

I don't think the value is far off here. Ratty doesn't has as much value as some Canuck fans would have you think, nor does Peeke have as much value as many Jacket fans think he does. That said, I don't think this trade really makes the Canucks any more likely to "compete" as proposed in the AGM title.
At this point I would personally rather keep Raty and the pick and wait for Bear who is supposed to be ready next month. I would take Bear over Peeke in a one for one, and if Bear doesn't cost anything to acquire then that's a much better deal in my opinion.
