first one yes, don’t think Kunin is that good. Great for 4th line/bottom 6 cause he’s a team player and physical, but not a lot of skill and takes bad penalties. I think Dube has higher upside and the same floor.
2nd one probably, I think sharangovich/Duclair are similarly good players, but the term on Sharangovich is better.
3rd one no, Vladar just hasn’t been good. Kahk was bad last year but that was the only one, was good before, and is playing well now. (Maybe not by stats, but sharks are bad, like Blackwood has been insane but is only at an even .900)

I really don’t see the difference tbh. Neither Dube, Sharangovich, Kahkonen or Vladar are going to net much in return, but perhaps a change of scenery leads them to better results thus increasing all of their Trade Values

We could definitely use Duclair more than Dube or Sharangovich, who plays with no jam and appears to be the most skilled and dangerous when only the opponents goalie is on the ice…

At least Kunin’s an RFA and has some Jam to his game

This is the write up on Kunin on Elite-Prospects:

A highly intelligent and offensively gifted forward. Has a keen eye for scoring opportunities and has shown flashes of elite-level finishing capability. Works hard and isn't afraid to battle for puck possession. Good hands and puck skills, and has a really accurate release on his shot. Needs to work on his explosiveness, staying in motion with the play, and strength behind his shot. All-in-all, a gifted offensive force with the potential to blossom into a highlight reel player. (Curtis Joe, EP 2015)

Did they accidentally put this in his bio or what’s the deal!?

Feel free to explain your POV, but I don’t see any bad PR moving Sharanhovich, who was expected to step in to a Top-6 role but hasn’t, for a guy familiar with and previously successful with Huberdeau

Just a few months ago duclair was traded for a 5th and a depth goalie (who I expect to hit waivers at some point)
and toffoli was traded for Yegor and a 3rd

With toffoli being as good as he has been, moving on that quickly for a worse rental, one who could have been had quite cheaply during the offseason, is an ugly look for a GM.

I hear where you’re coming from, but Toffoli was given away for under market value based on Conroy being high on Sharangovich and it hasn’t worked out so far. Yeah it’s pretty early to give up on him, but this is also about reuniting Huberdeau with a much Faster, Grittier forward with far better past success, so if anything it helps us get a better return than we did for Toffoli, we just need to extend Duclair for cheap IF he fits in, otherwise we flip him again at the TDL

And Duclair was worth more, but got dumped for Cap Reasons. CGY paid a 1st in the off-season to dump Monahan. It’s not easy moving guys at that time and player values/returns are far lower when Free Agents are available at no acquisition cost

Its just business, but yeah gotta be careful and think about how it looks on you as a GM and organization, I get that
