What's the asking price for these guys? I think the Canucks need to add a young, right shot center who can play on the 3rd line and 2nd PP.

Devs need Mcleod. He makes that 4th line go from horrific to quality.

As a contender he'd be a pretty penny.

He's not worth it but based on the current center market, the team makeup, and his age/contract/play, we'd probably need a 1st

Doubt the devils would move Mcelod as they're competing and he's a big part of their depth, but maybe if NSH was selling at the deadline Glass could be acquired for something

What a world. A 1st for a bottom-six center.

Realistically, you could expect a 3rd+low-tier prospect, maybe a 2nd for him. Only a totally desperate GM would spend a 1st on a bottom sixer as a hail mary. Some recent examples involving the Canucks, Dallas moved Dickinson (pre-cliff dive in performance) for a 3rd, and Lafferty went for a 5th as a bottom-six righty center. They all had/have similar stat lines and similar performances. McLeod has the benefit of being a couple of years younger and RFA.

We don't have any other realistic 4th line C options, and very little in the pipeline in that area (while Mercer and Haula are quality Cs, neither fit into a 4th line role). We're not trying to play chris tierney as a contender. He makes our 4th line go from horrific/unplayable to quality.

Mcleod is probably the best 4C in hockey.

quality PK, best faceoff guy in hockey.

Rental vs RFA aren't comparable.

Like I said, he isn't worth that, but that would be the price

I can respect that. Any good team needs guys like that, who bring more value than they'd fetch in a trade. That's a good find then.

In a different situation I'd say he would fetch a 2nd.

But the man took a discount to stay in Jersey.
Our C pool is our weakest in terms of prospects
And we need him this year.
Additionally, although I don't expect him to ever turn into anything special offensively, he looks to finally be developing at least some sense of offensive touch/ability starting from the playoffs last year.

Plan to sign him long term.

Glass would be my first choice as I think he provides more offence. I'm thinking a 2nd and a prospect like Klimovich for Glass?

McLeod wouldn’t be PP option on most teams. But he is great in his role here.
