Canucks should pass. Getting Lindholm would be nice. But Bains is looking like a steal and Tocchet loves his game. Vancouver isn't in the position to throw that much at a UFA who we won't be able to re-sign so unless Aqualini steps on Allvin/Rutherford's toes I doubt this trade would happen.

That is four players off our current roster…two of which are young ELCs. If this is a typical deadline deal, NJD is probably sending more futures-oriented package (picks and prospects).

Rough values…
-- Hanifin = ~late 1st + 3rd
-- Dube = ~late 1st or early 2nd + prospect
-- Hanifin retention ($2.5) = ~3rd
- Dube retention ($1.1m) = ~5th

So maybe…

-- One of: Casey, Filmon, Hameenaho
-- One of: Misyul, Leddy, Hattakka, Thompson
-- One of: Miller, Lazar, Smith
-- One of: 2024 1st + 2025 3rd, 2025 1st + 2024 3rd

…for Dube + Hanifin
(then add picks for retention if it’s needed)
