For the Flames Blues deal to make sense a few things would have to happen.

First this would have to be a sign and trade and Hanifin would have to sign at least 1 million dollars lower than Kryou's current cap hit. No retention would be done on the Blues end.

Secondly Hanifin would have to continue his strong play and Kryou would have to continue at his current pace (slightly disappointing).

Kryou has his warts as a player but he is still a very offensively gifted forward. Hanifin isn't a flashy defender but is very effective. He also is a workhorse and munches up minutes.

At base value this is a #1 RW for a #2 defender. The contracts at the moment make this deal impossible.
