I'd assume this would only work if Calgary already had other teams lined up to flip Grzelcyk and debrusk for other prospects. Lysell is the only player with value to the flames.

I think they may do this if they can lock them up long term

The Bruins aren't trading Lysell + 2 1sts. That would leave them with ZERO first round picks from 2020-2026. 7 straight years.

It's also just way too big of a price to pay. On a bottom-feeding team, Debrusk nets a 2nd/1st at the deadline. Gryz would also get a 2nd. You're giving up ~4 firsts and a 2nd for two rentals, one (Lindholm) who hasn't looked particularly good this year, and Hanifin

Stop trying to trade for Hanifin please unless you’ve convinced Lindholm to waive his NMC. Let’s pay a premium price for a player whose skill set overlaps two of our better defenseman. If you don’t have a plan to get him on the powerplay without impacting Lindholm, stop trying to acquire him. I don’t care that Don Sweeney liked him before he acquired Lindholm or he’s local. You need a defensive defenseman if you are going to acquire one

Trying to figure out how many points Lysell would have if he was more aggressive shooting the puck. His point production for less than 2 shots per game is pretty interesting and it’s time for Mouganel to push the narrative. 5th In shots and first in points per game is an interesting dichotomy.
