How?

A first and Ty for Tarasenko with full retention
A second to dump Faksa and bring in a couple depth guys

Kelly and Chartier are career 4th liners no disrespect to them they but they have hit their ceiling, I doubt they crack the Stars lineup.
Dellandrea could end up being a middle six in Ottawa. Carrying Faksa for another year would be sour but if you’re giving away picks I am sure Ottawa would consider it. I just don’t think Tarasenko is worth it.

To each their own. We can agree to disagree but I think Tarasenko has been the sole bright spot for a disaster of a year for Ottawa. I think he's an instant boost to the stars and allows Dadanov to play more appropriate minutes.

Also your profile pic is awesome XD

He’s not the player he once was , he no longer drives the play. The real part that makes me flinch from a Senators perspective is taking on Zacha for 2 years, but the 1st and 2nd + Dellandrea are appealing. Not sure what is going on with Dellandrea? Plus they have Stankoven and Borurque ready to bump him out.
Like you said we can agree to disagree.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic.

Yeah, I'd do that Dallas deal in a heart beat even as of now

I wouldn't trade Brannstrom for a 3rd and Anaheim is also among the teams that would need him the less.

??? Joseph and Greig have been the bigger bright spots

Stutzle is not playing at his best but has the 14th highest PPG in the NHL as of now
Sanderson is only 21 but is already a top pairing D-man
JBD has proven he belongs in the NHL
Korpisalo has been lights out (despite stats)
Giroux is 35 but still PPG
Tkachuk has been on and off, already 10 goals
Norris has 10 pts in 14 games, not bad after coming back from a long term injury. Still working on getting his overall game back
Zub is excellent defensively as usual
Chychrun had a great start but Chabot's injury has started to hurt him

There's plenty good things going on individually but it's the team as whole that is the problem. Every player coming to Ottawa eventually gets "contaminated" by DJ Dorion ways.

Rourke Chartier doesn't move the needle on that deal, but hasn't been bad - he has been one of the best Ottawa forwards positionally. I think he's a really good depth forward for the Sens - the only reason to put Kastelic there is size and toughness. I actually think the Sens should keep him around next year on a similar deal - 2-way, but with a pretty high AHL salary ($300K this season). I just wonder if he works out like Michael Amadio did - he looked not bad in his cup of coffee with the Sens, now a productive regular with a ring.

As far as Dellandria and middle six - I think the 3rd line is Pinto, Grieg & Jarventie if they trade away Tarasenko and Kubalik after game 41. If Dellandria were to be part of a return and keeps Jarventie in the AHL the rest of the year, all good. Faksa is taking on a fair bit of next-year salary.

The Sens need to sprinkle in some veteran competition for key minutes with the salary cap room they have if they don't make a big move of trading one of the young locked-up players
