This is all awful. Why would anyone pay a 1st for a contract that barely costs you any cap space when buried in the minors? The rest is also terrible. McCabe has another year at 2 million, he's worth significantly more than Zadorov who isn't really an upgrade, they are the same but Zadorov is bigger. This is just bad

The real mess is Marner's contract. He's the most movable guy, but you have to figure a place that is desirable.

Yeah like someone else said Zadorov and McCabe aren't all that different outside of their height, swapping them 1 for 1 would be a mostly lateral move
Even if Dallas wanted Samsonov (I think they don't) they couldn't afford it
Also Clarke is essentially untouchable

This is a rough thread:

- Samsanov (0.878 SV %) at $3.5 for Wedgewood (0.916 SV%) at $1M, and you want Dallas to add?
- Kings best prospect + Lewis ($775K) and get Brodie ($5M) + 2nd + 2nd. Aside from not being able to afford this, where exactly would Brodie slot in, the Kings are set and wouldn't trade Clarke.
- Marner has a full NMC, why is he leaving Toronto to go to a rebuilding team? And from Anaheim, why are you moving a guy like Zegras on a great contract?

Take out Clarke and Zegras and the SoCal teams say Yes. You're cuckoo if you think that there's any rational justification (let alone chance) for either of those deals as written.
