I wish the league worked like this but what team would / could give you the two pieces you want for chycrun - decent player but UFA after next year & batherson - overpaid winger with multiple years left on deal? No doubt you’ll disagree on Batherson but still … competitive teams don’t trade top pairing RHDs and rebuilding teams want picks, prospects, young players or value contracts with term. You’d have to add a lot which also makes no sense

I think they start with New coach and GM and then move from there. I would rather Keep Chych. I don’t necessarily think defence is the problem when the forwards are completely inconsistent from the top down.

Trade those guys for draft picks and then use that draft capital to acquire what you are looking for. Teams with the cap space would love to have those guys.

Hard to find a match of teams for this type of deal. Pesce or Pietrangelo maybe?
