Description
It is a big risk for the Devils moving a lot capital for a goalie who has barely played in the NHL, but young, good goalies are tough to come by. I also believe he does not have the starting role this year, but he could next season .

He’s our future starter. Feel we are more likely to move Saros. Although the return is SUPER tempting so I’d consider.

Satos in the summer for a smaller pkg than this.
Allows Askarov to get reps the rest if the season. Lankinen can help with the lift early next yr and Ask takes over.
Devs get a 1 yr placeholder until then. Alex Nedeljkovic in Pitt was suggested in a thread earlier, something like that (2 yr left mot top much avg) can maybe tandem I'm Devs system next yr.
We move Vitek abd Schmid can finish up growth in Utica.

Again NSH isnt trading any other their goalies when will this stop. Ask is unproven so its a huge risk to just throw him to the wolves when the Devils D isnt that much better than NSHs so again enough.

Which part are not getting, seriously?
Saros didn't all of a sudden forget how to play goal. Past! As of last year He was a 2.69 and .919 last yr

Don't want the past, here's Vitek at 3.60 and .877, let's stick with this and waste another great year of Jack and nico in prime cheap contract! You got this!
