Why would OTT want those 2 guys? They wouldn;t.....and the 4th is hardly worth the retention, let alone any value for the player.

And Monahan is too young for the Pens, think older and cheaper.

(But that 3rd pairing? OOOOF)

They clear cap if they waive either player, Ruhwedel is an upgrade on Hamonic/JBD, Chabot might be missing some time and Kubalik only has 5 points
That 3rd paring has been playing really great for the pens?

You can just tell us you haven't watched any of the penguins games this year except when they beat the leafs.

Ludvig has played very well for a 3rd pairing guy. Shea has been very hit or miss.

I think Ottawa takes that, especially with no/less retention, but maybe as-is.

They need to move out money if Pinto signs for more than minimum. Pinto I think makes Kubalik a bit redundant, and Zohorna at least brings size, & Ruhwedel veteran depth on D. Both of which Sens could use a little more of. And both those contracts are bury-able if necessary, and expiring.

As someone who follows both these teams those were my exact thoughts. There's a way for Pens to fit Kubalik on one of the top two lines which is really the only place he seems to be able to play

He hasn't looked awful this year - probably what was advertised. Big, good shot, offense-first player. He's looked really good on the forecheck this year, but hasn't really been able to string results together. Playing with one of Penguins top two lines he could be really successful.

I have no problem with that trade, it's actually good

I would probably rather just a 3rd round pick but both these players have low salaries. Ruhwedel is actually decent and would rather have him than Hamonic. Zohorna wouldn't be worse than Kelly or MacEwen that are forced to play often. Worst case you can send them to the AHL and it doesn't matter

Don't understand why the Pens would be buyers. Time to start rebuilding
