Leafs decline to add timmins to the deal but id be content with the rest it’s still an overpayment but that’s what it’ll take to get brad to deal with the flames and obviously he’d have to be half retained

I don't see Detroit wanting to spend those assets on rentals. Also that doesn't seem like alot of value for the Flames in the Wings trade.

Id absolutely love to get hanifin in AZ, but him coming out saying only wants to go to BOS, man did he screw CAL with that. what team is going to pay close to value for a guy that is walking end of the year? BOS can wait the year out and get him for free (no return) and CAL gets nothing.
CAL might get a true contender to take him as rental and give something to try to win this year but how many of those teams have the cap space.

AZ could give CAL way better package of picks/prospects to get him than BOS

Huh? I can't find anything about him refusing to go anywhere but Boston. Gotta cite your sources on that one.

I agree. With Edvinsson, Johansson, Danielson and Kasper close to making the jump there isn't a big need for either of these players.

according to Insider Renaud Lavoie of TVA on a recent appearance on Sportsnet radio,
The thing with Hanifin is, he's been on the market, if I'm not mistaken, for the last two years. But the problem is, everyone knows that he wants to play for the (Boston) Bruins. So, no one's ready to make that move, because that connection with the Bruins is there. It kind of handcuffs everyone, because they all know that at one point he'll sign with (Boston). So it's a tricky situation for him.
