What high end prospect? Also Andersson isn't just a top 4 he's a top pairing defenseman on pretty much any team in the league.

He is referring to Wahlberg; BUF's 2nd rounder this past summer. GMKA said he was trying to move up to the late 1st round to get him, but he ended up falling to them any way.

As for Andersson, he would be a great pair with Power - which is technically the 2nd pair (Dahlin & Sammy are 1st).

Honestly you have to give to get. CGY might be able to do better IF they wanted to move Andersson & Dube, but this really isn't a bad package. BUF doesn't want to look to move Mittelstadt, but this would be interesting. It's COL that I can't see doing this IMHO

Wahlberg isn't a high end prospect. He's not bad but he's not high end.

Andersson would likely be paired with Dahlin in Buffalo. If not it'd be because Buffalo decides it'd be better to put one of their 2 best defensemen with Power.

I didn't say it was bad package, I said Andersson is not for sale. It'd take a crazy good offer for the Flames to trade him.

I'm not sure I would call Wahlberg high end either, right now, but there is a lot of room to get there.

As for pairing, BUF consistently puts Sammy with Dahlin - when everyone is healthy - because he covers up for Dahlin to be more engaged offensively. Power looked better last night playing with Sammy while Dahlin was out injured. So maybe Andersson would slide in with Dahlin?

But I get the "Not 4 Sale" sign being up. It would be interesting if they made this deal, then they could move Lindholm without a huge of a gap at center on the roster. And maybe get the bigger Dman in that trade?

I think of Wahlberg the same way I think about Jj Peterka now. Peterka was a first round graded player that fell into round two and Buffalo traded up to lock him down. This time they didn’t have to trade up to get their man. I don’t think most people would bat an eye at a first round pick for Peterka right now, if Buffalo had any interest in moving him, which they don’t. I’m not guaranteeing that Wahlberg develops the way JJ has, but I’m not going to say he can’t do that either.

So Colorado pays a first, a second, a recent first, a recent second to make a laterl movement from Tatar to Dube, and pick up a 6th d man that doesnt move the needle at all. Yes i get Mittelstadt is an improvment on Johansen but to say he is 4 solid assets better is ridiculous. So either you didnt think this through, dont understand the value youre asking for form Colorado, or you are just simply delusional
