I don't think Calgary gets higher than a 6th unless they eat half of Vladar's money but I think if they can get out of that money they would be happy with this trade. I do think Jersey would not mind the contract Vladar's a good back up and is known to be a decent tandem 1a 1b goalie

Extreme lowball offer doesn't get a good backup / decent tandem goalie on a reasonable contract.

This is bad for Calgary on all sides of the trade. Jersey isn't in desperate need of goalie who wont take on full starter minutes. Flames kinda could still use him, Marky is week to week sure. But Wolf has looked average, the kid is amazing but not ready yet. This is an off season trade if anything.

I don't think Vladar is worth much but he is likely worth more than a 6th round pick. My expectation would be something like a conditional 3rd that becomes a 4th if he plays fewer than 10 games.

6th round pick for Vladar is a terrible offer. His numbers are skewed this year due to the terrible 5 v 5 defensive system being implemented in Calgary. I would think Connie is looking to acquire at minimum a 3rd round pick. If he can't pull that off, it would make more sense trying to find a dance partner for Markstrom.

100% agree. Wolf has looked average but at times he has looked superb. He is still raw, but he need consistent playing time at the NHL level. That's the next step in his journey. Starting in the 25-26 season your gonna see Wolf at , or near the top of every goaltender category. Definite future all star. Not bad for a 7th rounder.
