I don’t mind this, but continue to believe this is not on an effort to get TDA on the ice. Chatfield a much better 5v5 and PK fit…

I could see a reuniting of Mario and Burns, but it would then be an ultra shut down pairing of Slavin-Chatfield and a balanced pairing of Skjei-Orlov.

San Jose is going to be really reluctant to trade Ferraro. Along with Hertl he's the heart of the team, and culture matters in a rebuild. Trading Ferraro is going to have an outsized effect on morale/culture in the room and that's bad for developing guys like Eklund, Zetterlund, Emberson etc. Its one thing to trade aging vets like Burns and Karlsson, but Ferraro is only 25. It would send a bad message to the rest of the guys in the locker room in my opinion, so you really only do it for a massive overpayment. A 2nd, and the nebulous value of "what we might get" for Pesce isn't going to be enough I think. Especially not with Blackwood thrown in as well.
