We don’t need another non-elite top 6 forward

The picks might be enough to pay to dump Anderson, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a team asked for more to take on that contract

That leaves Beck and scraps which isn’t close to enough for JEE

I think just about every team in the league would love to acquire JEE. High end 2C/low end 1C who’s on pace for 40 goals and is great defensively while on a steal of a contract. For a 1st, a cap dump, a decent prospect, and not much else of value this is a pretty great deal for MTL

We already have Suzuki as a high end 2c/low end 1c. We aren’t paying 2 first and 2 second in value for him

You’re also dumping Anderson which likely costs at least a 1st+ though. Because of that the value probably favours MTL here

We don’t need to dump Anderson though. He is only a cap dump if Hughes believe he is. Even if it cost a first to dump him, this trade is bad for Montreal. I wouldn’t give more than a first for JEE

what kind of ps2 trade is this?

this isnt lindross, or gretsky here.

montreal is REBUILDING (look that up)

ill help: rebuilding teams sell vets for futures, and develop youth.
they dont pay to bury contracts. quite literally the opposite.

geniuses everywhere see habs cap space and picks and think to themselves: "gee why do they have so many picks? must be a french thing,. they dont need all those picks. lill like, what are they, rebuilding?

kidiots everywhere who only get their info off a ad-infested smartphone
