It is probably a bit of an overpay for Nylander. I mean his talent is there for sure but 12 million is McKinnon money and I don't think he is McKinnon level.

Also can we please get rid of Darcy. I trust Lindgren far more than I do Kuemper

You don't get rid of Kuemps until you have somebody to back up Lindgren that you have full confidence can play 30 good games in the NHL. Darcy is still around league average, even during this stretch of rough play. The Caps goalie tandem is top 10 in a majority of goaltending stats in the league, so it's not absolutely necessary to move off an area of strength right now. I love how Shepard has played, but he's only got 2 games of NHL experience. That's not enough to justify moving off of Darcy, just IMO.

Even if we do, signing Bear will add to an already crowded blue line. Defense are expendable for the right price in DC at the moment

I do believe you guys make the playoffs and if you do that price could get nylander if you don’t might have to add a little I go by the golden rule that nylander will want 2M more from a playoff team after taxes obviously and 3M more from a none playoff team to move but anything can happen only time will tell

I figured they'd want a forward that can play up and down the lineup, like Connor Brown, but actually puts up points. And Alexeyev is still young with room to grow, he just doesn't have as high of a ceiling as Broberg. But the main thing here for Edmonton is a jolt to the offense, they desperately need someone outside the top 6 to put up points

I'm honestly not sure I think Vancouvers management is really keen on making things work with Vancouver the only move I could see is for another Hronek type of defenseman so it would have to be a 3 way trade for the caps

Nah Edmunson is a LD and is not good

A top 4 RD is what they need. Would rather have 40 year old Gio over him

Should just sign Bear who will come cheaper and is better
