I don't know if the Canucks wanna move Garland now. He's been excellent with Joshua and is a big part of why the Canucks bottom six is borderline excellent now. I'd be interested in Demelo for a pick tho

I totally agree. Garland has been extremely good for the Canucks. But I think the Canucks still want some more cap space flexibility. Also getting a guy like Demelo to play with Quinn would be very beneficial for the Canucks.

Winnipeg says no to all.

The Jets don't need a bottom pairing PP specialist, so Barrie is out.

Insane overpay for two rentals in the Calgary deal. When have rentals ever returned that much?

The Jets don't need bottom pairing defenseman, so they aren't trading a contributing bottom sixer for one from CBJ.

They Jets can't afford to trade one of two RD they have for a winger they don't need with a bad contract.

Agree to an extent, they do need a D who's got some offensive upside though imo.

Not insane I think, if they could get Lindholm to extend they'd have the 2C issue solved.

"The Jets don't need bottom pairing defenseman, so they aren't trading a contributing bottom sixer for one from CBJ."

I agree completely.

"They Jets can't afford to trade one of two RD they have for a winger they don't need with a bad contract."

I agree again, Demelo is a solid partner for Morrissey and the Jets don't have a surplus on RD.

Stanley is just another Phillipe Myers in NSH’s eyes— don’t see them having interest in that deal.

Calgary declines. It's not too far off though probably enough to get talks started.

Yeah, it looks like we see it the same pretty much.

In know the Jets could use a top 4 RHD, preferably big and physical. Barrie is neither and his offense is more than offset by his awful defense. That's something the Jets don't need to introduce to the lineup.

The thing with Lindholm is that he won't extend. If he's not going to extend in Calgary he sure as heck isn't extending in Winnipeg. So, for a rental that's an insane never before seen return. Plus it kills the defense and weakens the bottom of the lineup. Making the Jets a more top heavy, weaker overall team.

Yeah I see your point, I hardly find Barrie to be the optimal add neither.

In my mind Tanev wouldn't be part of the deal, hence a lesser return for the Flames. But you're right, if they're considered true rentals who's gone next season it's an overpay for sure. I just would like Lindholm on the Jets, really like the player.

Yeah if Lindholm could be talked into a reasonable dollar and length extension, that would be great. He's having a bad year, but hopefully would bounce back.

Agree with Tanev. He does nothing for the Jets. He's living on his reputation from 5 years ago.

I agree.
But Vancouver doesn’t have enough cap space to keep Demelo.
