Pens accept in a heartbeat if Carter would waive his NMC. In this scenario, or any scenario for that matter, he likely would not do so. Hopefully he would if SJ could find a team that he’d like to be flipped to that will welcome his services. Wishful thinking though.

Have to think either the sharks decline or the other team declines each deal.

And don’t trade for Garland he’s less than worthless and I don’t want his cap Hit next year.

Enough with the Jeff Carter trade nonsense. He's said 1000 times he's not waiving his NMC because he's tired of moving his family. 🙄

You can't force a player to waive a NMC.

Devils have no room for Hoffman. If anything the Devils need a 3C option as Mercer should go back to wing and not sure if Haula is hurt. Rather see McLeod go to 3C than overspend on a 3C, so might just go for cheap 4C.

With how much Drury has improved regarding his offense, I don’t think the Canes move on from him unless they find a better 2-way C that could be on a long term contract for relatively cheap. And frankly, I don’t see too many of those types of players being on the market.

Between how putrid of a contract Campbell has (AAV + Term + MNTC) and how well Kähkönen and Duclair have been performing for the Sharks, I don't think the Oilers are giving up nearly enough to make this fair on the Sharks.

Don't see the point in the Devils throwing a depth prospect and a pick away for Hoffman at this moment in time.

Pens should be all over that but Carter likely blocks that move.

Canes, Leafs and Canucks probably don't consider this either.
