because the Canucks are a top 4 D from joining the big boys and Chychrun is who the Canucks need to play with Quinn Hughes and Hronek with Zadorov and last pair of Soucy/Myers
Kubilik is a cheap goal scoring option to take a chance on and he played with Suter when he had good years in Chicago
losing a 1st and Lekkermaki sucks but this is a year to go in as the pacific is a 3 team division with LA and Vegas
Kuzmenko just does not fit with Tocchet's coaching style

We can't afford Chych, Huggy, Hronek, Zadorov, or any other RFA/UFA contracts...

why can't the Canucks afford Chychrun when Kuzmenko is going the other way and has a bigger cap hit?
Zadorov won't get too much more then what he is making now and the Canucks need one more top 4 D and outside of Hughes and Hronek the rest are all 5 and 6 defenseman

Petey is getting 10+ easy, that's 3m. Bluegar and Laff have fit the system so well I assume they'll both get around 1.5-2 each. Our entire blueline and Kubalik coming back are UFA's besides Soucy. That's easily another 15-18m. Just this season alone that's an extra 20-24m

And then we have more contacts coming up the year after INCLUDING Chych who easily would get 8-9+

Like I said. WE CAN'T AFFORD THIS.

Without losing key pieces within the next 1-2 years.

Almost everyone, including the Media, were shocked at the return Zadorov got? You cherry picked ONE trade, and most of mine are at least realistic, but I accept the questioning and criticism of my mock trades.
