It empties out the cupboard, but TO is in win now, so no problems from an outsiders perspective with these deals, which seem fair.

Love the targets but gonna cost more for Murphy. He has 3 years left at a good AAV.👍

Seattle won't consider two years of retention on Larson. Toronto won't consider trading Liljegren. I'm sure the GM has already made calls on both defenseman. The trade could only be one or the other. Murphy in Chicago for a 1st with Niemela and a sweetener is a possibility. McCabe and Murphy have history together.

Hawks probably decline. Can't see Kyle from Chicago valuing Voit and Holmberg that much to make this deal. Deal needs fewer, but better quality assets from the Leafs.

Swap one of the 3rds for a 1st to get Murphy and you can even keep holmberg and voit.

Why wouldn’t Toronto want to trade Lily? If he has to go in a package to get RHD upgrade, I’ll pack his bags for him

If I was just trading for Murphy but I also want Larsson. Unfortunately requires splitting assets but in my world hopefully would have enough to get both done.

You're probably right but hopefully the Leafs have enough to get 2 large(ish) deals done without dealing the 2026 first.

Well sure they have enough but are they willing to part with guys like Cowan, Minten, or Knies instead of the guys you offered that have little to no value.

I think saying they're "little to no value" is a disservice to those 3 guys. Liljegren is valued at roughly a 1st (you could argue a bit less) based on the Sandin deal last year. Holmberg as proven that he's an NHL capable forward, just no room for him on the roster. Voit just put up 105 points in the OHL and has looked great this year, at least a B level prospect.

Leafs aren’t doing the Chicago deal and aren’t adding samsonov to the other deal

I like liljegren. Wasn't talking about him. Chicago hasn't shown any interest in other teams prospects. They've been heavily favoring draft picks. I don't see Kyle Davidson accepting this package of mostly prospects and late 3rd round picks when other teams would offer a better pick.
