Canucks want no part of Wilson’s contract extension, especially if we’re paying for it

Sure he's a 5.16m player right now... But it's 6.5m after that. No thank you.

if im the canucks im not giving kuzmenko 0r high picks away.
I'll refrain from commenting on it trade value wise, as it is abundantly clear how the room feels and I'm not changing anyone's mind lol.
But I will say that McLellan won't trade Wilson, not unless/until it is late in his new deal and he wants out/agrees to take one for the team. "GMBM", as one might say, has a good reputation for treating the players with a level of respect that is equal to the level of commitment given by the player to the team. See Chandler Stephenson being the odd man out that one year, and McLellan promising that he would trade him to a good place ... that place being Vegas, where he has since won his 2nd Cup and has a much larger role. It's not a move I see him making unless, like I said, Wilson goes to him and asks out, and that is doubtful as he wants to retire a Capital, correct?
Might have been Friedman at the time who said it, but as I think he said, "players remember that kind of thing"
