I was told by all Sens fans that Giroux will be a Sen for life and to not even ask about it.

Outside of Batherson & Giroux, I don’t think Sens are going to get enough for these other players to make it work.

Chabot and Chychrun can both get a 1st ++. Tarasenko could get a late 1st or a 2nd and a prospect too.

I believe the caps would be interested in Batherson, Chabot or Chychrun if the price was right. Most likely Batherson for a package like Lapeirre, a pick and Milano

Right now, I’d like to offer you an alternative reality to which they would not. I’m not sure any team would offer 1++ for these assets and contracts right now.

Give me some teams you think would do any of this?

Idk what they'd pay, but the only player from that list I could see CHI possibly being willing to pay for is Batherson.

I like your approach here, though. I might have to use it.

chychrun is on pace for 64pts why wouldnt he? and Chabot is way better than provorov was. Theyre both good top 4Dmen

Tell me the team who is going to go after these two defenders and pay a 1++.

Maybe, maybe, Chychrun because of his contract. However Chabot is not very desirable. Played less than 70% of games over the past 3+ years and has average numbers at best. $8m AAV until 2028-2029 is a tough pill to swallow for an average to slightly above average player who can’t stay healthy.

Looking at the guys offered here, this feels very much like the Red Wings when Yzerman took over. The pieces available aren't worth all that much outside of a couple guys. The big difference being they already have their future on the roster.

2 firsts this year, maybe move out Chabot and add another if that's their plan. If they hit with their picks, this thing could turn around really quickly.

How has Chabot been when not injured this year? Would the Sens/Flames maybe be interested in swapping Chabot for Hanifin if the Sens are looking to move him?

Chabot is good just him and chychrun arent good fits together, one of them needs to be moved

What makes them bad fits? Too similar?

yup. The lack of having one of them being a Colton Parayko type of dman is killing them. They both need to play with someone like Brandon Carlo not each other

I didn't realize they were paired together.

Yea that seems like every teams biggest issue. Parayko types are so difficult to find.

Question for you my man: IF you guys blow it up, do you keep or trade the 3 of Tkachuk Stutzle and Sanderson or send those three out as well for an absolute haul?

Use guys like the ones you listed here to sell and then try and rebuild around those three?

You keep those 3. I might consider moving Tkachuk for a haul but not the other 2

batherson, chychrun and giroux shouldnt get moved imo. Hunker down for a bad season this year and make moves to improve the bottom 6 and RD in the off season/free agency. A new HC and time to learn a new system is what this team needs. The core is still really young and I don't think it makes sense to trade them all away in the same year of a new owner/regime. If Giroux wants to go and get a chance at a cup though who can blame him. Keep the young guys and fill the gaps needed with vets next season.

I think the Leafs would inquire on Chychrun and/or Zub with retention... There's not really another player there that would help the Leafs that I think they can afford, cap and picks/prospects wise...

From an outsider, if OTT were to look at trade options for those... I'd look to build around Stuzle and Sanderson and trade everyone else with any value, minus ELCs, for picks and bruisers to protect those 2... Go for Celebrini and/or Eiserman and build out from there

Giroux would make a lot of sense for the Avs if he would waive his NMC

1st + 3rd + Ritchie would be my offer, but the price would really depend on how many teams he would be willing to waive for

So funny how sens fans were soooo cocky this summer. The guaranteeS of a fresh young powerhouse lol. Then after your usual start, the non stop excuse was, All we need is a new coach!
Chabot @8m is dump territory, expect a similar type overpay in return, not a 1st++ lol. You'd be lucky to get a 2nd+. Fragile health & play, that 1 good year was eons ago. The sens need real vets, something bad markets struggle to find

You’re a moron if you think he’s a dump. He’s way better than Provorov ever was

Strong words for someone that thinks either one is a good nhl defenseman. You're right he's a beast defensively, a point machine, physical, leader and reliable. More butter on your biscuit if you want people to want them lol
